In the information given to the stock market, Vodafone Idea has said that they have been assured by a company included in the promoter group that in any situation where Vodafone Idea needs funds for the necessary payment related to the debt, then the promoter company will provide 2000 crores. Will provide financial assistance of Rs. Vodafone Idea has given this information to the market on 14 August. The promoter group of Vodafone Idea includes Pilani Investment and Industries Corporation, IGM Holdings, Oriana Investment and Elaine Investment etc. Vodafone Idea has not yet clarified from whom it got this assurance.
How were the results of Vodafone Idea?The company’s loss widened to Rs 7,840 crore in the April-June quarter, from Rs 7,296.7 crore in the same quarter a year ago. At the same time, the company’s income has increased from 10,410.1 crores to 10,655.5 crores.
The company’s ARPU has increased to Rs 139 in the first quarter, which was Rs 135 in the March quarter. EBITDA has come down from Rs 4,210.3 crore to Rs 4,157 crore as compared to the March quarter. EBITDA margin has come down from 40 per cent to 39 per cent quarter on quarter. The company has released its results after the close of the market. On Monday, the company’s stock closed at Rs 8.05, down 0.62 per cent.
