The United Arab Emirates has reinstated the 90-day visit visa, offering more flexibility to visitors. The three-month visit visa had been discontinued at the end of last year and replaced with a 60-day long-term visa.
UAE Federal Authority For Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) confirmed the reintroduction of the 90-day visa. Travel agents can assist individuals interested in availing this extended visa.
The reintroduction, which happened at the end of May 2023, allows visitors to stay in the UAE for up to 90 days, with the possibility of extension at an extra cost.
Subair Thekepurathvalappil, a senior manager at Regal Tours Worldwide, explained that there are two kinds of entry permits – a tourist visa, which is valid for 30 or 60 days, and a visit visa, which lasts 90 days. The reintroduced extended visit visa is in addition to the existing 30-day and 60-day tourist visas.
While the 30-day and 60-day visas are favored by short-term visitors, industry experts believe the 90-day visa could appeal to individuals, such as students and parents of residents, who wish to stay for a longer period.
