GulfHindi English Desk: Tomato prices in India are rapidly increasing. Previously available at 20-30 rupees per kilogram, the price of tomatoes has now reached 120-150 rupees per kilogram. Most cities in India have seen tomato prices rise above 120 rupees per kilogram.

However, there is one city in India where the price of tomatoes has decreased. Cuddalore, a city in Tamil Nadu, is selling tomatoes at only 20 rupees per kilogram.

A 38-year-old businessman, D. Rajesh, made the decision to sell tomatoes at 20 rupees per kilogram at his shop called ‘DR Vegetables and Onions’. He had purchased 550 kilograms of tomatoes at 60 rupees per kilogram from Bangalore, Karnataka. But he decided to sell them at a cheaper price to help those in need.

D. Rajesh ensured that this offer was available to all customers, with the condition that no customer could buy more than one kilogram of tomatoes. This ensured that a maximum number of people could benefit from this offer.
