The local stock markets in the UAE had a good day of trading as they consolidated their gains. The market capitalization of the listed shares rose by more than 8.1 billion dirhams, with the Dubai Financial Market achieving the longest series of daily gains since last February.
Abu Dhabi Market:
The FTSE Abu Dhabi General Market Index, “Fadji,” increased by 0.22%, or the equivalent of 20.45 points, to close at 9377.43 points.
The Abu Dhabi Market Index, “Faddex 15,” increased by 0.27%, or the equivalent of 24.7 points, to close at 9211.92 points.
The Abu Dhabi market’s performance was boosted by an increase in the shares of “Borouge” by 1.96%, “ADNOC Drilling” by 1.7%, “ADNOC Distribution” by 1.47%, “Al-Dar Properties” by 1.18%, “Abu Dhabi Commercial” by 1%, “Abu Dhabi Islamic” by 0.99%, “Vertiglobe” by 0.94%, “A&” by 0.71%, “Multiple” by 0.65%, “Alfa Abu Dhabi” by 0.57%, and “ADNOC Gas” by 0.33%. “Al-Alamiya Holding” topped the activity, attracting liquidity of about 221.7 million dirhams, followed by “Al-Afa Abu Dhabi” attracting about 113.1 million dirhams, then “ADNOC Gas” with 52.9 million dirhams, “Abu Dhabi Commercial” with 52.3 million dirhams, and “Multiplay” with 51.6 million dirhams.
Dubai Market:
The Dubai Financial Market general index rose by 0.26%, gaining 9.65 points, continuing its gains for the ninth session in a row, to close at 3,687.63 points. It reached its highest level since May 6, 2022, with the real estate sector index rising 1.06%, industry 0.3%, and consumer goods 0.63%. The Dubai market supported the rise in shares of “Emaar Properties” by 1.65%, “Emaar Development” by 0.55%, “Tecom” by 1.24%, “Emirates NBD” by 0.36%, “Dubai Financial Market” by 2.77%, “Salik” by 1%, and “Empower” by 1.65%. “Education Holding” acquired the largest share of trading, attracting liquidity of more than 126.7 million dirhams, followed by “Gulf Navigation,” which attracted about 96.4 million dirhams, “Dewa” with liquidity of 75.1 million dirhams, and “Ajman Bank” with 69.5 million dirhams.
