According to Superintendent of Police Sajjan Singh, the Palwal police recently arrested two suspects who had stolen 3700 iPhones worth 27 crore rupees while transporting them from Delhi to Chennai. Four stolen phones were also recovered from the suspects, with a value of around 3 lakh rupees.
The story of the theft goes like this: Rakesh, a resident of Sahadawadi village, and Jafaruddeen, a resident of Aleemew village, were transporting the iPhones from Chennai to Delhi. However, the vehicle was parked at Hodal border, where the phones were stolen.
Acting on a complaint, the police arrested Sahadawadi and Jafaruddeen, and confiscated two Apple iPhones from them. The suspects revealed that the remaining stolen phones were hidden in Bharatpur and Tijara in Rajasthan. Both suspects have been remanded in police custody for six days.
