The Arrest

Noida Police moved into action based on actionable intelligence and conducted a successful raid, resulting in the arrest of five gang members. The suspects were allegedly involved in producing and distributing counterfeit versions of Amul’s ghee and butter.

The Seizure

The police seized a large haul of counterfeit products from the gang. This included around 500 kg of fake butter, raw materials, and counterfeit packaging imitating Amul’s branded packaging. The materials were found during a search of the premises used by the gang for their illegal operation.

The Threat of Counterfeit Products

Counterfeit food products pose a significant risk to public health, as they often don’t adhere to food safety standards. By using the trusted Amul brand, the gang was not only defrauding consumers but also potentially putting their health at risk.
