GulfHindi English Desk: New Traffic Rules Implemented in Dubai for Passenger Safety

Dubai has made changes to its traffic rules to ensure the safety of passengers. Effective from July 6th, several changes have been made to the traffic rules, directly impacting vehicle drivers. Officials have clearly stated that these rules have been implemented for the safety of both drivers and passengers.

His Excellency has tightened the rules for vehicle seizures. It is mandatory to ensure safety on the roads. In case of violation of the rules, vehicles will be seized.

According to the new rules, vehicles participating in illegal street racing without permission will be confiscated. Furthermore, a fine of Dh50,000 will be imposed on drivers who jump red lights. Foreign heavy truck drivers may face deportation for jumping red lights.

Heavy fines will also be imposed. The police have the authority to seize vehicles if someone exceeds the speed limit or if the vehicle emits excessive noise. Vehicles will be seized for fines exceeding Dh6,000. Vehicles will also be confiscated for driving dangerously.

It is important to note that vehicles will be returned when the driver pays the fine or when the seizure period ends.
