Kotak Mahindra Bank has issued a notice of temporary unavailability of certain debit and Spendz card services due to maintenance work. The bank’s system will undergo routine maintenance activities on June 3 and 10, 2023.
Temporary Suspension
In an email to its customers, the bank mentioned that several services associated with the Kotak Bank Debit Card, Spendz Card, and Gift Card will be temporarily unavailable between 01.00 AM to 04.30 AM (IST) on the specified dates. The suspended services include transaction limit modification, card blocking and unblocking, primary account change, account linking and delinking, and requests for a new debit card, among others.
Transaction Fees on Kotak Debit Card
The bank has also detailed transaction charges when using the Kotak Debit Card at petrol pumps and for booking railway tickets. At petrol pumps, customers will incur charges of Rs. 10 or 2.5% of the transaction amount, whichever is greater. For transactions on IRCTC, a payment gateway charge of up to 1.8% is applicable.
International Transactions
It is important to note that all Chip Kotak Debit Cards are enabled for international transactions by default, ensuring global usage for customers.
