GulfHindi English Desk: In an emergency situation, a fire broke out in coach C-14 of the Vande Bharat train traveling from Rani Kamalapati to Nizamuddin on Monday morning. The train was stopped before reaching the Bina Railway Station and all passengers were safely evacuated.

The fire started when the Vande Bharat train with the number 20171 departed from Rani Kamalapati at 5:40 am. Smoke was seen coming out of the train while passing the Kalhar Railway Station, which was reported by the guard. As a result, the locomotive pilot stopped the train in Kurwai Kathora before reaching the Bina Railway Station.

The fire brigade was informed in advance, and the team extinguished the fire at 7:58 am. The fire was located under the battery box of the coach. The battery box was separated from the coach and the electric supply of coach C-14 was turned off. Passengers were shifted to coach C-2 and the train departed at 10:19 am.

Congress leader Ajay Singh, IAS Avinash Lavanian, and several other bureaucrats and politicians were traveling in the train. After the incident, the entire train was evacuated.

Some key highlights of the incident include the guard stopping the train upon seeing smoke, arrangements being made for extra food for delayed passengers, and the train departing with a delay of approximately three and a half hours.
