An Initiative to Spread Happiness
In a recent initiative to spread happiness and positivity, Dubai Police fulfilled the wish of a 13-year-old boy, Hussain Yousef Merza, by letting him experience the life of a police officer at Al Muraqqabat Police Station for a day. He was also given a ride in one of Dubai Police’s luxury patrol cars.
Part of the ‘School Security’ Initiative
This gesture was coordinated by the Security Awareness Department of the General Department of Community Happiness, in collaboration with the Tourism Police Department and Al Muraqqabat Police Station. The initiative is a part of the ‘School Security’ initiative, which aims to promote community policing and raise awareness about laws and regulations related to students among educational institutions, staff, and parents.
Aligning with Directives from High Ranking Officers
Colonel Khalifa Ali Rashed, Deputy Director of Al Muraqqabat Police Station, highlighted that this initiative is in line with the directives of Major General Ali Ghanem, Director of Al Muraqqabat Police Station.
Smart Police Stations and Student Learning
Sergeant Manal Al Juhari, coordinator of the School Security initiative at Al Muraqqabat Police Station, pointed out that the program allows students to learn about the tasks and procedures at the smart station – Al Muraqqabat Police Station being the first traditional police station to transition into a smart station operating 24/7 without human intervention.
