Expo 2020 Dubai’s site is set for a transformation with multiple pavilions being repurposed into workspaces for local and international businesses, organizations, and educational institutions. The new Expo City Dubai, accommodating about 3,000 employees by September, retains 80% of Expo 2020’s infrastructure and will feature tenants such as DP World, Emirates Airline, Siemens Energy, Terminus Group, and others.

Pavilions Transitioning to New Purposes

The Australia Pavilion will be repurposed into the University of Wollongong Data Science, Discovery and Innovation Centre. The Finland Pavilion will transform into FinGulf LLC, dedicated to sustainability and the circular economy. The China Pavilion will continue to support China-UAE relations and business development as part of the Belt and Road Initiative. Finally, the Emirates Pavilion will evolve into a center for Emirates Group Innovation and Emerging Technologies.

Creating a Sustainable and Collaborative Future

Expo City Dubai, designed as a blueprint for green urban planning, provides a free zone environment for Fortune 500 companies, SMEs, government, academia, and research institutions to collaborate on future projects. The plan aims to enhance Dubai’s position as a global trade center.
