Dubai Municipality Launches “A Safer Summer” Campaign

DUBAI, 7th August, 2023 (WAM) -👉Dubai Municipality launched the “A Safer Summer” campaign to raise public awareness on the importance of taking necessary health precautions that ensure the well-being of society during the summer season.

Focus on Job Security and Preventing Risks

Running until the end of August, the event includes educational and awareness programs and activities aimed at stressing the need to comply with safety and health regulations and supporting related actions. This year’s campaign focuses on job security and taking the necessary steps to prevent risks such as heat exhaustion.

Protecting Against Solar Damage

The campaign highlights several ways to reduce the risk of solar damage and protect the body from direct sunlight. Tips on public swimming pool and beach safety are also emphasized, along with safety standards to avoid drowning incidents. Proper use of consumer products such as cosmetics, personal care, and health supplements is also highlighted.

Implementing Necessary Security Measures

The campaign aims to highlight the importance of implementing necessary security measures to ensure the safety of habitations. This includes promoting knowledge on conducting regular maintenance checks on air conditioning systems, maintaining indoor air quality within homes, and handling LPG cylinders safely to eliminate any associated risks.

Events and Awareness Activities

Through this campaign, Dubai Municipality organizes a series of events and activities, such as awareness-raising field visits to workplaces representing different sections of society. Tips and awareness bulletins related to the summer season will be published for all sections of society.
