GulfHindi English Desk: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has started the sale of flats under its housing scheme for economically weaker sections. In a conversation with GulfHindi.com, officials from DDA confirmed that 1078 flats have been allocated to financially weaker section individuals under the housing scheme. The flats were priced between 8 lakh to 11 lakh INR in the EWS category. The flats have been allocated to eligible families from Jailer Wala Bagh and Ashok Vihar. Allocation letters have been issued to all these families on 27th June.
In other news, the government has launched a scheme for affordable land acquisition near the Jewar Airport. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is planning to release the scheme for residential plots ranging from 120 to 300 meters. The industrial plot scheme will also be launched this week. The residential plots will be allotted through a draw, while the industrial plots will be auctioned. YEIDA has already applied for registration in RERA and all the plots are available in Sector 16 and 17.
The government land sale scheme offers several benefits, including transparent transactions and quick loan approvals from banks. The position and mutation of the property are done instantly, and the registry is completed immediately after depositing the required fees.
