GulfHindi English Desk: SBI (State Bank of India) and ICICI Bank customers can now easily make digital transactions using their credit cards. Customers of these banks can link their credit cards to the UPI (Unified Payments Interface) app to facilitate this feature.
This new feature has been introduced through the BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) app, which is operated by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
SBI and ICICI Bank customers can now link their credit cards to the BHIM app. After linking, they only need to scan the UPI QR code of the merchant available at the grocery store and make payments using their credit cards.
The BHIM app currently supports linking of credit cards from 11 different banks. This allows users to make UPI payments using their credit cards just like they would with their bank accounts.
In order to link a credit card to the BHIM app, users need to follow a few simple steps. First, they need to open the BHIM app. Then, they need to click on the linked bank account. After that, they can click on the “+” sign and select “Credit Card”. By clicking on the relevant card, users can enter the details of their linked credit card, including the last six digits and validity. After entering the OTP received on their mobile, users can create a UPI PIN to complete the registration process. Finally, they can scan the merchant UPI QR code and select the credit card to make the payment by entering the UPI PIN.
This new feature provides SBI and ICICI Bank customers with a convenient and secure way to make digital transactions using their credit cards.
