GulfHindi English Desk: Karnataka Industries Minister MB Patil has announced that Foxconn, the iPhone manufacturer, will soon be given 300 acres of land. According to him, the legal obstacles have been resolved. The land is located in the Devanahalli and Doddaballapura taluks of Karnataka’s IITR. The company plans to establish a manufacturing plant here, with an expected investment of around 8,500 crore rupees. The minister believes that this could create 50,000 jobs.

In the past three years, three industries have come up in the Doddaballapura taluk, with an investment of 110 crore rupees and the creation of 1,450 jobs.

The minister also revealed that Foxconn has plans to start production at the plant by next April. Due to domestic manufacturing, the upcoming iPhone could be cheaper in India, thanks to several tax incentives. It is possible that the iPhone 15 could be launched as part of this new affordable phone in India.

The Karnataka government had approved Foxconn’s proposed investment of 8,000 crore rupees in March. Under this, the manufacturing of mobile devices will take place.
