GulfHindi English Desk: The Uttar Pradesh government has prepared a plan to create 7 new industrial corridors along its two expressways, Purvanchal and Bundelkhand. These corridors can not only boost industrial activities in the state but also bring a boom in the property market.
According to the government’s plan, 2 of the 7 new industrial corridors will be located along the Bundelkhand Expressway, while the remaining 5 will be built along the Purvanchal Expressway. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has approved this proposal.
This proposal was presented by the Industrial Development Department in a high-level review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The government aims to expedite the construction of these corridors and plans to spend Rs 3,500 crore in the initial phase of the project.
For the industrial corridors along the Purvanchal Expressway, the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Authority (UPIDA) has identified 5 locations. These locations are Lakhnau, Barabanki, Sultanpur, Azamgarh, and Ghazipur.
As for the Bundelkhand Expressway, 2 corridors will be built. One will be in Jalaun and the other in Banda. These corridors will be separate from the existing Defence Industrial Corridor being developed in Bundelkhand.
